Course Description:
TotalDog Intermediate builds upon the skills developed in Foundations by increasing reliability, precision, and consistency in increasingly challenging environments. Dogs and handlers continue refining obedience while strengthening communication and confidence through longer durations, greater distractions, and more advanced real-world applications.
Throughout the course, teams will continue preparing for the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) evaluation while improving loose-leash walking, recalls, stays, impulse control, public manners, and engagement in a variety of environments.
AKC Canine Good Citizen testing will be available for eligible teams at the conclusion of the course.
Prerequisites:
Successful completion of TotalDog Foundations (or instructor approval).
Dogs should demonstrate reliable basic obedience, including sit, down, stay, recall, and basic leash manners.
TotalDog Foundations

Course Description:
TotalDog Foundations serves as the core curriculum of the Meraki TotalDog Program. Whether you're training a young dog ready to advance beyond puppyhood or an older dog just beginning formal training, this course establishes the communication, relationship, and practical skills needed for everyday success.
Teams will develop reliable obedience while focusing on engagement, marker training, attention, impulse control, stays, recalls, loose-leash walking, polite greetings, confidence building, settling, and real-world manners. Training emphasizes creating thoughtful, reliable companions rather than simply teaching commands.
Graduates will be well prepared to continue into TotalDog Intermediate as they develop greater reliability and work toward more advanced real-world applications.
Prerequisites:
Dogs should be at least 6 months of age,
or have successfully completed TotalPuppy FUNdamentals,
or receive instructor approval.

Advanced

Course Description:
Designed for graduates looking to continue their training journey, TotalDog Advanced focuses on developing exceptional reliability, precision, and confidence in increasingly complex real-world environments.
Teams will continue refining advanced obedience while introducing more challenging public access scenarios, advanced distractions, longer durations, off-site training opportunities, and higher-level communication. Depending on each team's goals, preparation may include AKC Community Canine (CGCA), AKC Urban CGC (CGCU), therapy dog evaluations, or other advanced accomplishments.
This course emphasizes teamwork, problem-solving, and developing dogs capable of working confidently in a wide variety of everyday situations.

TotalDog Tactical is a private working-dog training course exclusively for members of Northwest Pennsylvania K9 Search & Rescue (NWPA K9 SAR).
This invitation-only course provides an opportunity for team members to continue developing their dogs' skills, strengthen handler communication, and work collaboratively in a structured training environment outside of regularly scheduled team trainings.
Curriculum and training topics will vary based on the needs and goals of participating team members.
This course is not open for public enrollment.
Prerequisites:

TotalDog Leash & Life Skills is designed as the bridge between TotalDog Foundations and TotalDog Intermediate, helping teams transition from learning basic obedience to applying those skills confidently in everyday life.
This course focuses on strengthening communication, building reliability, and creating well-mannered companions capable of succeeding beyond the classroom.
Throughout this six-week course, teams will continue developing practical life skills including loose-leash walking, polite greetings, engagement, impulse control, settling, recalls, stays, confidence building, and responsive obedience in increasingly distracting environments. Training emphasizes thoughtful decision-making, consistency, and real-world application so that behaviors become dependable wherever life takes you.
Whether you're preparing to advance into TotalDog Intermediate or simply looking to improve your dog's everyday manners and responsiveness, this course provides the additional practice and guidance needed to bridge the gap between foundational skills and more advanced training.
Prerequisites:
Dogs should have successfully completed TotalDog Foundations, or demonstrate a solid understanding of basic obedience skills including sit, down, stay, recall, and basic leash manners.
Instructor approval may be granted for dogs with equivalent training experience.
TotalPuppy FUNdamentals
Start Date: Friday August 14th

Course Description:
The first few months of your puppy's life are some of the most important—and this course is designed to help you make the most of them. TotalPuppy FUNdamentals focuses on building confidence, developing healthy social skills, and creating a strong relationship between puppy and handler through positive, practical training.
Throughout this six-week course, teams will work on foundational obedience skills, engagement, confidence-building, cooperative handling, polite manners, environmental exposure, problem prevention, and age-appropriate socialization. Puppies will also begin learning essential life skills such as loose-leash walking, recalls, settling, impulse control, and basic obedience while having plenty of opportunities to explore new experiences in a safe and supportive environment.
This course provides the foundation for a lifetime of learning and prepares graduates to continue into TotalDog Foundations.
AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy testing will be available at the end of the course, to puppies that have attended 6 training sessions minimum (testing requirement).
Prerequisites:
For puppies typically under 9 months of age.
Puppies must not reach 1 year of age by the final course session.
No prior training required.
TotalDog Adventure Club

Course Description:
Training shouldn't end after obedience—and neither should the fun! TotalDog Adventure Club is a continuing education program designed to strengthen your relationship with your dog through unique real-world adventures and themed weekly experiences.
Each week features a different adventure designed to challenge dogs in new and exciting ways while reinforcing practical life skills, confidence, and teamwork.
Activities may include patio manners, campfire confidence, hiking adventures, water safety, sports samplers, seasonal outings, community events, confidence-building challenges, and much more.
Because every session features different adventures, TotalDog Adventure Club can be enjoyed again and again throughout the year.

Dogs should have successfully completed TotalDog Foundations or possess reliable basic obedience and the ability to work comfortably around other dogs in a group setting.
